MLOps Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid in Braga, Portugal, three days per week; candidates must already be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid Portuguese work permit.

What you will do

• Build and operate MLOps and platform infrastructure for AI and machine-learning workloads.
• Deploy and maintain production model-serving systems, including self-hosted large language models.
• Automate infrastructure and development workflows using CI/CD, Git, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
• Administer Linux and containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support development teams with written and spoken technical communication.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering focused on AI/ML.
• Experience with open-source AI tools such as Ollama, vLLM, Hugging Face, and Open WebUI.
• Strong Linux administration, Docker, CI/CD, Git workflows, Ansible, Python, and Bash skills.
• Experience with production model serving, preferably self-hosted and including LLMs.
• English proficiency at B2 level and native Portuguese fluency required.
• Availability for hybrid work in Braga and eligibility to work in Portugal required.

Nice to have

• Experience with MLflow or Kubeflow.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• GPU management with NVIDIA drivers and CUDA.
