Data Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, New York; hybrid

Salary: $140,000–$155,000 base compensation annually

What you will do

• Design knowledge graphs representing relationships across markets, assets, tenants, and transactions.
• Build RAG, hybrid search, and structured retrieval pipelines that provide accurate context for LLMs.
• Develop rule-based and agentic LLM workflows, including prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and production reliability.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, normalize, and enrich internal and third-party real estate datasets.
• Implement data lineage, provenance tracking, confidence scoring, attribution, and freshness monitoring.
• Develop reliable, low-latency backend APIs and services that expose ML outputs and structured data to applications.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in ML engineering, backend engineering, or a role spanning both.
• Production experience shipping LLM-powered applications, including RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong Python skills and experience owning backend services and APIs end to end.
• Experience with knowledge graphs or graph databases such as Neo4j.
• Experience building data pipelines at scale with Spark, Databricks, or equivalent technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to build trustworthy systems with strong data provenance and analyst-facing reliability.
