Forward Deployed Engineer (AI & Autonomy)

Location: London, United Kingdom; on-site with approximately 30% travel to customer sites.

What you will do

• Develop AI and autonomy applications with the Hivemind Enterprise Autonomy Software Development Kit for unmanned air, sea, land, and space platforms.
• Deploy Hivemind AI infrastructure at customer sites and integrate autonomy capabilities with vehicles and other platforms.
• Provide technical expertise, training, documentation, and support throughout customer implementation and use.
• Debug software and API integration issues and help resolve complex technical problems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback and improve products.
• Support the sales team with complex technical customer queries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years in integration or applications engineering.
• 3+ years of experience working in a startup environment.
• Strong software engineering background and strong proficiency in modern C++.
• Intermediate proficiency in Python, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the defense aviation or robotics industry.
• Experience building and running a small enterprise software applications or solutions engineering team.
