Forward Deployed Software Engineer, Internship - UK Government (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom; on-site. The role includes 25–50% travel depending on the team and location.

What you will do

• Embed with UK government customers to understand operational challenges and deliver software solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers on architecture and design decisions.
• Work with large-scale data that requires new approaches and inventive solutions.
• Build custom applications, LLM workflows, and production systems for specific customer needs.
• Own projects end-to-end and manage relationships with users and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Engineering degree, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain security clearance.
• Graduating in 2028.
• Current resume or CV in PDF format and thoughtful responses to the application questions.
