PRN Pharmacist

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States

Pay range: $60.00–$75.00 per hour

What you will do

• Dispense prescription medications and counsel patients and healthcare providers on indications, dosage, interactions, contraindications, side effects, and storage.
• Review prescriptions, patient allergies, and medication risks to support safe treatment.
• Manage pharmaceutical storage, inventory, ordering, labeling, recordkeeping, and pharmacy administration.
• Process insurance claims, maintain documentation, and complete records retention and quality-control activities.
• Maintain pharmacy equipment, work areas, safety standards, infection-control procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and manage scheduling, performance, training, development, prioritization, and department objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Pharmacist licensure in the state where the work is performed.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy experience.
• Ability to maintain pharmacist status and keep current with pharmaceutical updates.
• Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, problem-solving, confidentiality, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in people management, team building, learning and development, and performance management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with stakeholders, clients, guests, and vendors.
