Sr. Network Expert/Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, evaluate, and optimize network architectures, protocol workflows, and system integration approaches.
• Research standard, advanced, and emerging network protocols.
• Analyze OSI Layer 2–7 behavior and its impact on system design.
• Build rapid proof-of-concept implementations to validate network features, protocol behavior, and architectures.
• Collaborate with technical teams on network-related design decisions.
• Investigate cross-layer network issues, packet flows, protocol interactions, and performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of the OSI seven-layer model and cross-layer interactions.
• Experience with network programming or systems involving packet processing and protocol handling.
• Proficiency with protocols including Ethernet, ARP, IP, TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, QUIC, and VPN protocols.
• Ability to quickly evaluate and build PoCs for validating concepts and designs.
• Proficiency in at least one network-related programming language: C/C++, Go, Rust, or Python.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with IPv6, NAT64, MAP-E/DS-Lite, or CGNAT.
• Familiarity with DPI, SNI matching, traffic fingerprinting, or related technologies.
• Knowledge of kernel-level networking or netlink APIs.
