Senior JavaScript Engineer (OpenFin)

Location: Bucharest - Dacia One, Romania; flexible work from home or the office

What you will do

• Develop the OpenFin Platform across frontend and backend components using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Lit.
• Build and improve a unified desktop experience based on OpenFin and FDC3 interoperability standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver maintainable, high-quality code that meets business needs.
• Debug and troubleshoot application issues and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to the long-term strategy of the portal application, improving user experience and reducing time to market.
• Support colleagues and help drive the team and project forward.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• More than 4 years of experience as a Front-End Engineer or Full-Stack Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Node, frontend frameworks such as Lit, Angular, React, or Vue, and package managers such as NPM.
• Experience with testing tools, build tools, Git, and version control systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with Web Components.
• Strong experience with Node.
• Understanding of browser Web APIs, especially WebSockets, Web Workers, and Web Storage APIs.
