Senior Security Researcher (AI)

What you will do

• Lead a research track at the intersection of vulnerability research and machine learning/artificial intelligence.
• Own full-cycle research projects involving reverse engineering, patch-diffing, exploit development, manual code audits, automated bug discovery, and AI capability assessment.
• Lead researchers and interns across multiple time zones and coordinate research progress.
• Mentor researchers and interns and develop technical training materials for different experience levels.
• Triage research projects, facilitate knowledge transfer, and strengthen vulnerability research capabilities against zero-day threats.
• Promote information sharing and learning within TrendAI and the broader research community.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and exploit development.
• Experience researching the intersection of security and machine learning/artificial intelligence.
• Hands-on experience with disassemblers, debuggers, network traffic tools, and program instrumentation.
• Functional knowledge of networking fundamentals, operating system internals, and computer architecture.
• Track record of publications in academic journals, whitepapers, or community forums.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a collaborative and dependable working style.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring or supervising undergraduate students or junior team members.
• Demonstrated software-hacking and vulnerability-discovery experience through CTFs, bug bounty programs, or open-source contributions.
• Security and AI/ML publications.
• Master's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
