TL;DR
Senior Data Engineer (AWS/data platforms): Designing and maintaining scalable cloud-based data pipelines and processing solutions with an accent on AWS, Spark/PySpark, Databricks, Dataiku, and infrastructure automation. Focus on building large-scale data transformations, implementing CI/CD and cloud infrastructure with Terraform and CloudFormation, and ensuring reliable, maintainable data platforms.
Location: Hybrid in Prague, Czechia

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions.
- Build and optimize data processing workflows using AWS services, Spark, and PySpark.
- Develop data transformations and processing solutions with Python, Java, SQL, Databricks, and Dataiku.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure with CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow software development lifecycle practices.
- Collaborate with data, technology, and business teams while maintaining technical and SDLC documentation.
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS services, including S3, IAM, Redshift, SageMaker, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
- Proficiency in Python or Java and SQL; strong Redshift experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Spark and PySpark.
- Experience with Databricks and/or Dataiku.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- Good understanding of data engineering and SDLC practices, with strong communication and documentation skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of DSCS and DPTM.
- Experience with enterprise-scale data platforms and cloud environments.
- Experience working in Agile or cross-functional teams.
