Senior Electrical Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own the technical development and product care of 1–2 high-complexity PCBAs, including communication switches and Battery Management Systems.
• Drive PCBA development from architecture and schematics through layout, prototyping, debugging, and production handover.
• Review and simplify the PCBA portfolio across ANYmal product lines to optimize system architecture.
• Define test specifications and verification protocols for reliable productization and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate electronics into autonomous robots.
• Promote high-quality engineering standards across the electronics engineering team.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with at least 7 years of hands-on electronics board development experience.
• Experience developing electronics for industrial, aerospace, or military applications.
• Expertise in ECAD software such as KiCad or Altium, plus simulation tools such as SPICE.
• Ability to design complex layouts with strict creepage, clearance, and isolation constraints for safety-critical applications.
• Experience with harsh-environment design, EMI/EMC compliance, functional safety, debugging, verification, and manufacturing test specifications.
• Strong proficiency in at least two areas: BMS, power electronics or motor drives, high-speed interfaces, or MCU-based embedded systems.

Nice to have

• Explosion-proof electronics or hazardous-area design experience.
• Wireless electronics or Edge AI compute hardware experience.
• Experience in robotics or autonomous systems.
• Familiarity with InvenTree or similar component and inventory management tools.
