Cyber Security Architect (Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Design and maintain end-to-end security architecture for radar hardware, firmware, and software.
• Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA), identify vulnerabilities, and define mitigation strategies.
• Design encryption, authentication, integrity checks, and secure communication for radar data transmission.
• Define security controls for APIs, middleware, and integrations with vehicle subsystems.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 21434, UNECE WP.29, and other automotive cybersecurity regulations.
• Collaborate with radar engineers, embedded software developers, and system architects, including incident-response support and security technology evaluation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 3 years in architecture or senior design roles.
• Experience securing embedded systems, hardware connections, software modules, and real-time communication protocols.
• Strong system-architecture skills for complex, multi-component systems.
• Strong knowledge of cryptography, secure boot, firmware integrity verification, and secure API design.
• Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Radar-system development or RF-engineering experience.
• Experience with ISO 21434 and UNECE WP.29.
• Understanding of CAN, Ethernet, and automotive communication protocols.
• Knowledge of AI/ML security considerations.
• CISSP, CCSP, or CEH certification.
