Senior Fullstack Engineer, Internal Tools (React/Node.js)

What you will do

• Own the technical direction, front-end architecture, and component and design system strategy for Internal Tools.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs, specifications, system designs, and engineering tickets.
• Design and build internal tools and admin features across the front end and back end.
• Apply recommendation, ranking, and search techniques in partnership with data science and product.
• Reduce technical debt through targeted refactoring, design reviews, and engineering standards.
• Support engineers through pairing, code review, mentoring, documentation, and deep debugging.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience and a track record of shipping scalable systems.
• Strong system design and architecture skills.
• Extensive production experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, and React.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch, including performance tuning.
• Experience building and scaling backend systems, ideally in a startup or small-company environment.
• Experience mentoring engineers.

Nice to have

• Production experience with Next.
• Experience with recommendation, ranking, or search systems.
• Experience building internal tools or operations platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or deploying machine learning in production.
