Advanced Quantum Compiler Engineer - 925

Location: Hybrid in Broomfield, Colorado, United States. Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined by applicable contractual requirements. Due to national security requirements, candidates must not be nationals of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless also U.S. citizens.

Salary: $138,000–$173,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop compiler front-end, back-end, and optimization passes for classical and quantum operations.
• Benchmark, profile, and optimize compiler execution and the quality and performance of generated quantum programs.
• Design and implement compiler capabilities for real-time, distributed execution environments.
• Develop platform capabilities that expose new functionality to users and optimize logical and physical quantum circuit execution.
• Collaborate with physicists and engineers to solve complex quantum computing problems.
• Write maintainable code in an R&D and rapid-prototyping environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 3 years of industry or postgraduate experience in engineering, laboratory, or R&D environments.
• At least 3 years of programming experience with Rust, C++, or a similar language.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
• Experience or strong knowledge in compiler design, algorithms, testing, and deployment tools.
• All applicants for safety-sensitive positions must complete a pre-employment drug test.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience with LLVM, MLIR, GCC, Cranelift, or custom research compilers.
• Rust contributions to open-source or commercial projects.
• Experience with tree, graph, SAT, machine learning, and application-specific algorithms.
• Experience testing and verifying compiler transformations and optimizations.
