Senior GNC Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $145,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Implement GNC flight, test, and analysis systems for high-performance space vehicles.
• Develop robust algorithms for satellites in LEO and GEO, upper stages, and landers.
• Generate GNC verification data for spacecraft missions.
• Develop flight software, simulation systems, and reusable tools for vehicle GNC.
• Resolve technical issues and communicate design needs, intent, and capabilities across engineering.
• Mentor engineers and define vehicle GNC best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in spacecraft GNC design and analysis.
• Proficiency in Matlab and C++.
• Experience with time- and frequency-domain control analysis, estimation theory, or astrodynamics.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an applicable U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with upper-stage or lander control.
• Experience with rendezvous and proximity operations or formation flying.
• Startup or agile development experience.
• 5+ years of spacecraft operations experience.
• Experience with vehicle-GNC design processes from concept through design reviews and implementation.
