Lead Life Cycle Engineer/ Expert/ Specialist (Routing & Switching, QoS, IPsec, Firewall, SD-WAN)

Location: Cairo, Egypt; hybrid work with up to 2 work-from-home days per week

What you will do

• Design, implement, configure, and support SD-WAN underlay and overlay networks.
• Operate and maintain security and data networks, including firewalls, load balancers, WAN automation, and network optimization technologies.
• Manage SD-WAN customer configurations, service updates, incidents, changes, and high-priority troubleshooting within SLA timeframes.
• Plan and deliver network projects, including global SD-WAN deployments, migrations, service activation, and acceptance testing.
• Work with customers on technical inquiries, demonstrations, performance reviews, solution recommendations, and configuration requirements.
• Prepare technical sections of customer proposals and support project managers or customer success specialists during final delivery.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in the information technology or telecommunications industry.
• Enterprise network solutions experience, including MPLS and SD-WAN, with strong hands-on expertise in firewalls and complex routing and switching environments.
• Experience with troubleshooting, incident management, patch implementation, change management, and project management.
• One or more relevant certifications, such as Versa SD-WAN certifications, Cisco ENSDWI/CCNP/CCDP/CCIP, or ITIL V3.
• Degree or equivalent experience in engineering or computer technologies, plus strong communication, analytical, customer support, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English is required. French, Spanish, or German is considered an asset.

Nice to have

• Versa SD-WAN experience, with Viptela/Cisco knowledge also relevant.
• Virtualization technologies experience.
• Knowledge of Riverbed, Zscaler, VoIP, wireless LAN, and advanced routing, switching, tunneling, and security protocols.
