TL;DR
Senior Associate of Product Development - Knits & Sweaters (Product Development): Managing the development lifecycle for knit and sweater products across design, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing with an accent on costing, sustainability, quality, and on-time execution. Focus on coordinating seasonal calendars, developing sweater yarns and wash innovations, resolving bulk production issues, and maintaining PLM product data.

Location: Los Angeles, CA; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office per week, Tuesday through Thursday

Annual compensation: $67,000–$95,000

What you will do

  • Manage the day-to-day product development process for knits and sweaters across multiple seasonal quarters.
  • Coordinate with Design, Technical Design, Raw Materials, Merchandising, Sourcing, Planning, and Quality Assurance to develop products to design intent.
  • Manage costing, time-and-action calendars, development milestones, style ratios, and cross-functional product information.
  • Work with factories and suppliers on sweater development, wash innovation, samples, lab dips, trims, yardage, and material options.
  • Track bulk production status, lead weekly WIP reviews, and resolve production issues with the Quality team.
  • Maintain final BOMs in the PLM system and coach team members through influence.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product development experience in knits and sweaters.
  • Experience with in-depth cost negotiations and time management.
  • Experience in sweater yarn development.
  • Knowledge of PLM, Google Sheets, and Airtable.
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, detail-oriented approach with a focus on product quality and process improvement.
  • Ability to travel overseas and work from the Los Angeles office at least three days per week.
