Compliance Audit Manager (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco or Lehi, United States. Hybrid work model with in-office attendance required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; remote placement is not considered. Local hours are required in PT or MT time zones, with relocation offered based on job level.

Salary: $101,000–$159,000 base salary annually, plus potential equity awards and annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead moderate- to high-complexity compliance and financial crimes audit engagements with limited supervision.
• Identify end-to-end process risks and develop risk-based audit scopes, test plans, and documented procedures aligned with IIA standards.
• Validate audit findings and root causes with business leaders, agree on sustainable corrective actions, and monitor remediation.
• Guide and mentor audit team members while maintaining professional independence and effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Advance compliance and financial crimes coverage strategies, audit methodologies, tools, and assurance capabilities.
• Apply data analytics, AI, and LLMs across planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, reporting, and continuous compliance monitoring.

Requirements

• 6+ years of internal audit or related experience, ideally in financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading collaborative audit teams on complex engagements.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Excel and data analytics.
• Working knowledge of consumer protection regulations, including ECOA/Reg B, EFTA/Reg E, TILA/Reg Z, EFAA/Reg CC, and BSA/AML/OFAC programs.
• Experience with audit management tools such as Optro.

• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CPA, CAMS, or CRCM, or willingness to obtain one.
