Senior Detections Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site in Seattle, United States. Relocation expenses are covered. ITAR eligibility is required: US citizenship, US lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required US authorizations.

Salary: $100,000–$180,000 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Develop threat-detection use cases for industrial OT environments.
• Analyze wired and wireless network protocols and traffic.
• Investigate activity on Windows and Linux hosts.
• Build detections using SIEM, big-data or data-lake query platforms, and relational databases.
• Apply MITRE ATT&CK and/or D3FEND frameworks to detection engineering.
• Contribute to threat hunting, adversary emulation, remediation, or incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in intrusion detection, threat hunting, offensive security, or adversary emulation.
• Deep technical understanding of wired and wireless network protocols, traffic analysis, and Windows and Linux hosts.
• Intimate familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and/or D3FEND.
• Experience developing detection use cases with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Elastic, big-data platforms such as Apache Spark, or relational databases.
• Programming experience in at least one modern language, such as Python, Go, or Rust.
• Must meet applicable US ITAR eligibility requirements and work on-site in Seattle.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded Windows and Linux variants.
• Experience in industrial, operational, or fulfillment environments.
• Experience with remediation or incident response.
