Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, or Washington; NYC headquarters.

Salary: $170,000–$240,000 annually plus meaningful equity.

What you will do

• Build and ship features across mobile applications using Vue, TypeScript, and Capacitor.
• Develop scalable backend systems with Python, Flask, Postgres, Redis, and AWS.
• Contribute to architecture, technical direction, design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship.
• Partner with Product and Design to scope solutions and turn ambiguous problems into iterative, shippable components.
• Balance delivery speed with long-term maintainability and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining complex full-stack systems.
• Fluency in Python and JavaScript, or willingness to ramp up quickly.
• Strong system design and product engineering fundamentals.
• Experience working in startup or high-ambiguity environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely from one of the listed U.S. states.

Nice to have

• Experience building consumer-scale applications.
• Familiarity with SNAP, WIC, TANF, SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, or Section 8.
