Lead Design Engineer

Our client is the Russian representative office of a European company, a global expert in crimp and pin-contact connections, specializing in the design and production of machinery for the European and Chinese automotive industries – announces the opening of the position:

Lead Design Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Design of high-precision specialized semi-automatic and automatic machines for the production of patented pin connectors.
- Modification and modernization of the existing equipment line.
- Independent project management (from concept to working equipment).

Requirements:
- Higher technical education.
- At least 7 years of professional experience, with at least 1 year in a Lead/Senior Design Engineer role.
- Knowledge and experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience in designing stamping/pressing equipment and tooling.
- Experience in calculating and selecting electric motors, gearboxes, pneumatic cylinders, linear guides, ball screw drives, and other standard components for CNC equipment.
- Experience in designing parts with tight tolerances and long dimensional chains.
- Knowledge of material processing methods, ability to assess the complexity and cost of part production.
- Knowledge of English (for participation in online meetings and business correspondence) at a B1 level or higher will be an advantage.
- Readiness to complete a technical task at one of the stages.

Terms and Conditions:
- Fully remote work or hybrid in the following formats: individual entrepreneur, self-employed, freelancer, fixed-term contract for 1 year.
- Project-based employment for a term of 1 year; further extension for new projects is possible.
- Residence in Europe (Russian or dual citizenship) or in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan for the purpose of visiting the production site in Narva, Estonia, will be an advantage.
- Compensation: up to 275,000 rubles net per month (or higher if the required experience and competencies are met).
