Principal GNC Engineer (Spacecraft)

Location: Boulder County, United States; onsite.

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect GNC flight, test, and analysis systems for high-performance space vehicles.
• Develop robust control algorithms for satellites in LEO and GEO, upper stages, and landers.
• Generate control verification data for multiple missions.
• Contribute to flight-code and simulation software development.
• Create reusable GNC tools and define vehicle-control best practices.
• Mentor engineers, communicate design intent, and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in spacecraft control design and analysis.
• Proficiency in Matlab and C++.
• Ability to perform control analysis in time and frequency domains.
• Experience with vehicle-GNC design from concept through design reviews and implementation.
• Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain an applicable U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with upper-stage or lander control.
• Startup or agile-development experience.
