TL;DR
Customer Engineer (Cloud Native/Open Source): Designing and implementing customer solutions with Dapr, Diagrid technologies, and cloud-native architectures, with an accent on distributed systems, customer onboarding, and technical discovery. Focus on building PoC applications, delivering demos, guiding enterprise architecture, and translating customer feedback into product features.
Location: Remote United States or Remote Canada

What you will do
- Understand customer needs and design solutions using open-source Dapr and technologies.
- Onboard prospective customers to Cloud across brownfield and greenfield applications.
- Create and deliver customer demos and build proof-of-concept solutions in multiple programming languages.
- Provide architecture guidance for cloud-native technologies and distributed systems.
- Represent customer feedback within the company and collaborate with product and engineering teams on feature priorities.
- Identify customer pain points and opportunities that can influence product and strategic direction.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Developer Advocate, or similar technical customer-facing role.
- Excellent customer engagement and communication skills.
- Experience designing and building enterprise applications and solutions.
- Solid computer science knowledge focused on distributed systems.
- Professional development experience with at least one of Java, .NET, or Go, plus good experience with Node and Python.
- Experience with open-source software and Git-based version control systems.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container-based systems.
- Experience with public cloud providers.
- Experience with ASP.NET Core, Express, Django, Spring Boot, or Dapr.
- Previous work as a cloud architect or Technical Product Manager.
- Experience in a high-growth startup focused on cloud and open-source technologies.
