Forward Deployed Software Engineer (Norwegian Government)

What you will do

• Work directly with customers to understand complex operational problems and design data-driven solutions.
• Own the end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision.
• Discuss software architecture, work with massive-scale data, and build custom web applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, Deployment Strategists, customer executives, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop team strategy, make independent decisions, and continuously learn new technologies and programming languages.
• Travel to client sites as needed; 25–50% travel is preferred and may vary by team and location.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills involving data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
• Experience or interest in using large-scale data to solve valuable business problems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment.
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance, plus fluency in Norwegian and English, is required.
