Communications Manager (AI)

Location: Remote, based in Italy; preference for Rome or Milan.

Annual salary: €64,000 in Italy.

What you will do

• Lead hirify.global’s communications presence and national media strategy in Italy.
• Identify and amplify high-impact petition campaigns across traditional and social media.
• Secure top-tier coverage and increase awareness among media, decision-makers, and diverse public audiences.
• Build and manage relationships with journalists, editors, producers, politicians, civic organizations, influencers, and other stakeholders.
• Implement global communications and brand strategy while collaborating with cross-functional leads.
• Lead communications teams, scalable systems, and initiatives connecting media, messaging, and campaign goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in media, communications, brand, public relations, or campaigning.
• Deep understanding of Italian audiences and both progressive and conservative media landscapes.
• Established relationships with senior editors, executive producers, journalists, influencers, officials, politicians, and civic organizations.
• Strong executive, corporate, crisis, written, and verbal communications experience.
• Proven success securing high-profile media coverage, managing social media, and leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
• English proficiency at minimum B2; resumes and application responses must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Experience in a mission-driven, social-impact, or journalism context.
• Experience using insight, performance data, AI tools, testing frameworks, or lightweight automations to improve communications.
• Experience supporting policy-compliant campaigns across differing political viewpoints.
