Regional Collections Manager, Lagos (Nigeria) (Fintech)

What you will do

• Analyze regional loan portfolios and repayment trends, then create daily, weekly, and monthly collection strategies.
• Conduct mystery market visits to assess sales quality, disabled lamps, repayment issues, and customer experience.
• Design, pilot, and operationalize collection processes that improve repayments and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate product repossessions with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives.
• Report product tampering and fraudulent activity, and support corrective actions.
• Train and follow up with field agents on collection calls, repossessions, and difficult customer cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, including field work and collaboration with rural customer settlements.
• Experience in microfinance, fintech, banking, credit collections, or debt recovery.
• Strong logical, communication, people, problem-solving, issue-tracking, and resolution skills.
• Fluent English and fluency in the language of the assigned territory.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams in the field.
