Engineering Manager (Trading and Quant): Leading software engineering teams and managing roadmaps, delivery, hiring, performance, and collaboration with Trading and Quant stakeholders with an accent on people development, delivery predictability, and cross-functional product delivery. Focus on building high-performing teams, translating technical and business requirements into delivery plans, and managing dependencies, risks, and scope trade-offs.
Location: London; candidates must be based in Amsterdam or willing to relocate to the Netherlands

What you will do
- Own roadmaps, priorities, sequencing, planning, and delivery alignment with company goals.
- Develop engineers through career planning, coaching, promotions, feedback, and performance management.
- Lead hiring, headcount planning, resource allocation, and team growth.
- Build a healthy team culture, manage morale and productivity, and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Translate technical and business requirements into delivery plans while managing dependencies, risks, scope, and timelines.
- Partner with Tech Leads and Staff Engineers and act as a liaison between Engineering, Trading, and Quant teams to deliver new products.
Requirements
- Strong project management experience, including roadmaps, sequencing, dependencies, risk management, and delivery predictability.
- Technical background sufficient to engage credibly in technical discussions and earn engineers' respect.
- Experience leading, growing, and managing the performance of software engineers.
- Track record of delivering software through a team while balancing scope, quality, and timelines.
- Strong people-leadership skills, including coaching, feedback, conflict resolution, hiring, and talent development.
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Trading and Quant teams.
