Location: Mojave, California, United States. Remote, hybrid, and on-site arrangements are available based on candidate preference and business needs. Travel is estimated at less than 5%.
Base salary: $101,079–$146,500 for Level II or $120,500–$158,000 for the Senior level, established based on location, education, skills, and experience.

engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+ using reusable air-launched Talon testbeds to accelerate hypersonic technology development and support national security applications.
What you will do
- Perform trajectory analysis and optimization for current and future hypersonic vehicles.
- Develop aerodynamic databases and models using analytical, numerical, ground-test, and flight-test data.
- Analyze aerodynamics, performance, stability, and control across vehicle configurations and speed regimes.
- Support flight-performance simulations, wind-tunnel analysis, and flight-test activities.
- Develop advanced design and analysis tools for the hypersonic design team.
- Support business proposals for the U.S. Government and industry customers.
Requirements
- Level II: bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of engineering experience, or equivalent experience. Senior level: bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years of engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with aerodynamics, performance, stability and control, and atmospheric aerospace vehicle design.
- Experience with subsonic, transonic, or supersonic theory and analysis; hypersonic experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and work with urgency.
- Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Nice to have
- Hypersonic or supersonic vehicle development and test experience.
- Experience building aerodynamic models, performing trajectory optimization, or using CFD analysis tools such as US3D, Fun3D, Pointwise, Link3D, StarCCM, or Kestrel.
- Experience with CAD, configuration management systems such as Jira, Git, and lofting compound aerospace surfaces.
- Active security clearance.
