Senior Software Engineer, Edge (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Caesarea or Ramat Gan, Israel, with two work-from-home days per week. The role also references offices in Caesarea and Tel Aviv.

What you will do

• Develop the core edge platform across diverse hardware environments within a hybrid edge-cloud architecture.
• Build and integrate video management capabilities, including streaming, recording, and real-time AI processing.
• Design and optimize low-latency, high-performance workloads for resource-conscious edge devices.
• Build secure and efficient communication pipelines between edge devices and cloud systems.
• Work with AI/ML engineers to deploy and optimize models on devices.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on systems or performance-critical applications.
• Strong experience with Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Proven multithreaded and concurrent programming experience.
• Solid understanding of Docker, containerization, networking, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with embedded systems or edge computing environments.
• Experience building or working with real-time systems.

Nice to have

• Video streaming or video pipeline development experience.
• Familiarity with storage systems and data management at the edge.
• Experience integrating cloud services such as AWS S3, GCP, MQTT, or Kafka.
• Experience deploying or optimizing AI/ML models on edge devices.
• Security concepts and hardware-aware optimization experience.
