Fab Automation & Manufacturing Systems Manager (Semiconductor)

hirify.global develops superconducting quantum processors and is building a 200 mm quantum device fabrication and assembly facility for industrial-scale manufacturing.

What you will do

• Define and maintain the fab automation roadmap and architecture for equipment connectivity and manufacturing data collection.
• Lead the integration of process, metrology, and test equipment using SECS/GEM and vendor-specific interfaces or APIs.
• Support MES selection, implementation, and operation, including lot tracking, genealogy, recipe management, dispatching, and production reporting.
• Define manufacturing data requirements and support databases, historians, cloud data solutions, reporting, and analytics.
• Implement process monitoring capabilities such as SPC and FDC to support excursion management, yield improvement, and continuous improvement.
• Build and lead the fab automation and manufacturing systems team while managing vendors and automation projects through commissioning.

Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing automation, equipment integration, or manufacturing systems.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment integration, SECS/GEM communication standards, and MES systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing data flows, traceability, production control, and technical project management.
• Experience with greenfield facility construction or major fab expansion.
• Experience building and leading small technical teams, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• End-to-end MES implementation experience.
• Experience with SPC, FDC, semiconductor metrology, or test/probe equipment.
• Familiarity with cloud-based manufacturing data platforms and ETL concepts.
• Experience in quantum, superconducting, photonics, MEMS, or other advanced technology manufacturing.
