Scientific Expert (Biology): Supporting the evaluation and improvement of AI scientist agents by generating datasets, annotating outputs, and designing or interpreting scientific tasks with an accent on biology and related scientific disciplines. Focus on generating hypotheses, reviewing AI evaluations, baselining scientific performance, and interacting with tools for accelerating discovery.
Location: Remote, U.S. only
Compensation: Paid per task, averaging approximately $100 per hour

What you will do
- Annotate and evaluate outputs from AI systems performing scientific work.
- Generate and review tasks used to evaluate AI systems carrying out scientific activities.
- Complete expert evaluation tasks to establish performance baselines.
- Support information synthesis, hypothesis generation, and the design and interpretation of experiments and data.
- Interact with tools in different capacities across research projects.
Requirements
- Must be located in the United States to work remotely.
- Hold or be pursuing a PhD in biology or a related scientific field; other advanced degrees may be considered.
- Be able to commit at least 5 hours per week.
- Have an interest in using AI to accelerate scientific discovery.
