Location: San Mateo, California, United States; onsite at the San Mateo clinic

Salary: $105,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Follow physician orders and perform MRI scans according to clinical specifications and established protocols.
• Explain procedures, medications, and contrast media to patients while prioritizing safety, comfort, and clear communication.
• Review patient histories and MR safety assessments, position patients, insert IV catheters, prepare contrast, and operate power injectors.
• Evaluate, label, and document scan images to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Operate, clean, and maintain MRI equipment, including collaboration with application specialists when needed.
• Collaborate with radiologists on imaging protocols and techniques, and assist with clinical staff education and training.

Requirements

• Active ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB certification.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
• Professional experience as an MRI Technologist and strong knowledge of MRI imaging principles, protocols, anatomy, physics, IV administration, and MRI safety.
• Experience with PACS systems, health information systems, Google Suite, and MRI equipment; Siemens experience is preferred.
• Strong patient communication, bedside manner, organizational, mathematical, problem-solving, and observational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive patient information.

Nice to have

• Experience with Whole Body MRI.
