Sr. Subject Matter Expert - Reconciliation - Credit Agreements

What you will do

• Act as a subject matter expert for end-to-end reconciliation, covering aggregation, enrichment, reconciliation, and delivery.
• Ensure reconciliation quality, operational performance, client expectations, and SOC 1 compliance.
• Advise on system improvements, monitor design progress, and prepare departmental updates.
• Research challenging assets and provide guidance to internal teams, clients, data providers, and auditors.
• Lead automation initiatives and resolve complex Recon Tool, Month End, Yellows, and Complex Assets issues.
• Collaborate with management on 6+ strategic projects annually while mentoring other SMEs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's coursework in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years reconciling accounts.
• Advanced understanding of end-to-end reconciliation data flows and related tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Data-driven approach to coordinating team efforts and exceeding KPIs.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of experience in another department or team.
• Experience applying Lean Six Sigma practices.
