Motion Designer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; hybrid work with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week

Salary: $110,000–$155,000 annual base salary plus performance bonus and equity

What you will do

• Create high-impact animation and video assets for campaigns, websites, email, social media, events, advertising, and digital media.
• Develop visual narratives and storyboards that communicate the brand and complex product features clearly.
• Partner with product, marketing, and sales teams to deliver branding, awareness, and conversion campaigns.
• Adapt and optimize video content for different platforms with clean, engaging visual effects.
• Track design trends and emerging technologies, applying AI video and static image generation where useful.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience creating design and animation for brands.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in design, visual communication, motion design, video editing, art, film, or a related field.
• Strong online portfolio demonstrating creative concepts and advanced visual-conceptual thinking.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and AI video generation.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, presentation, and design-thinking communication skills.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented approach and comfort working in fast-moving, high-visibility environments.

Nice to have

• Independent 2D motion design experience using After Effects.
• Experience creating motion design that explains software functionality.
• Knowledge of video capture, equipment, lighting, and shoot management.
• Experience with AI video and image generation technologies.
