Motion Designer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA preferred; remote work within the United States is available only for rare exceptions. Relocation support to the United States is available for eligible candidates.

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 base pay in San Francisco, excluding equity. Compensation may be adjusted outside San Francisco based on employee location.

What you will do

• Create motion design for brand, product, and growth, including social content, advertising, product animations, and launch videos.
• Develop and maintain a scalable motion language covering timing, easing, transitions, and animation principles.
• Produce short-form video content for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other channels.
• Design UI animations and micro-interactions in collaboration with product designers and engineers.
• Create and iterate on performance-oriented video advertising with the growth team.
• Edit and composite video while experimenting with AI-assisted motion tools, generative video, and emerging formats.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience in motion design, animation, or video.
• A reel demonstrating brand films, social content, UI animation, typographic motion, or experimental work.
• Mastery of After Effects and strong working knowledge of Premiere, Cinema 4D, or Blender.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, weight, and easing.
• Ability to work across brand and product contexts, from hero films to short loading animations.
• Collaborative, direct-feedback-oriented working style and genuine interest in health, science, or human performance.

Nice to have

• 3D animation or rendering skills with Cinema 4D, Blender, or Houdini.
• Experience with Lottie, Rive, or code-based product animation.
• Sound design, performance advertising, illustration, or generative art experience.
