GNC Engineer - Navigation & System Integration

What you will do

• Integrate, test, verify, and validate navigation instrumentation, GNSS, INS/IMU, localization, and sensor-fusion systems.
• Support navigation and localization modeling and integration for high-fidelity aircraft simulation platforms.
• Conduct simulation studies, Monte Carlo simulations, SITL, HITLS, regression testing, and test-coverage scenarios.
• Design and implement navigation, sensor-fusion, blending, and filtering algorithms, including Kalman-filter techniques.
• Conduct flight testing and analyze navigation-sensor data to validate and refine aircraft performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on system requirements, specifications, safety, performance, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
• At least 1 year of experience in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related engineering.
• Strong understanding of navigation, GNSS, INS/IMU systems, filtering, fusion, and navigation sensor suites.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python; familiarity with Julia and other modeling and simulation tools.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export-control regulations or be eligible for deemed export licensing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with navigation sensor trade studies, sensor selection, sensor models, navigation subsystems, and navigation software integration.
• Experience with KF, UKF, EKF, particle filters, autonomous flight systems, and aircraft autonomy.
• Experience with navigation sensor testing and data analysis.
• Passion for aviation and advanced aircraft technologies.
