Data Operations Lead (Robotics)

What you will do

• Run the end-to-end data engine, transforming raw trajectories and video into clean, training-ready datasets.
• Design and own data ontologies in collaboration with the model team to optimize training outcomes.
• Automate annotation pipelines using vision-language models to scale data synthesis without linear headcount growth.
• Manage and scale internal and vendor labeling operations while maintaining a high quality bar.
• Close the feedback loop by turning real-robot evaluation failures into targeted collection and annotation tasks.
• Track and optimize key metrics including inter-annotator agreement, label error rates, and throughput.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data or ML pipelines, specifically leading work at a frontier AI lab or top data operation.
• Strong technical proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch) and SQL.
• Deep understanding of ML fundamentals including training vs. test sets, precision, recall, and overfitting.
• Proven ability to build and scale annotation operations while remaining a hands-on technical contributor.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to maintain speed in a research-paced environment.
