Senior Enterprise AI Security Engineer

Location: Redwood City, California, United States. Hybrid role requiring work from the assigned office at least 3 days per week.

Base salary for Redwood City: $211,000–$263,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain security systems for safe workforce use of AI tools, assistants, copilots, and agents.
• Build AI gateways, prompt and response logging, egress controls, policy engines, brokers, approval registries, and reusable enforcement libraries.
• Extend identity and access management to agentic and non-human identities, including credentials, delegation, OAuth grants, and revocation.
• Control access to MCP servers, connectors, corporate SaaS, code execution environments, browsers, extensions, and local agent runtimes.
• Lead security architecture reviews and threat modeling for AI vendors, SaaS AI features, and internal agent deployments.
• Partner with IT, Infrastructure, Incident Response, Engineering, Legal, and Privacy to develop AI governance and response playbooks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise security engineering, security platform engineering, application security, product security, or a related area, including recent AI or agentic systems experience.
• Hands-on experience securing enterprise assistants, internal agents, RAG systems, AI coding tools, or related AI deployments.
• Strong identity and access management fundamentals and understanding of AI abuse scenarios, shadow AI, agentic identity, SaaS integration risk, browser security, and data exfiltration.
• Experience building security automation and tooling with Python, Go, or a similar language.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication skills, autonomy, and the ability to make risk-profiled security decisions in ambiguous situations.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping internal security platforms.
• Exposure to isolation and permissioning for autonomous workloads, AI red teaming, or AI evaluation.
