Compliance Manager (GovTech)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to New York, NY or Washington, D.C. (Hybrid)

Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 (based on location)

What you will do

• Own the POA&M process end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and contractual compliance.
• Run NIST 800-171 self-assessments, maintain SPRS scores, and drive remediation efforts.
• Manage federal contract paperwork, including DD Form 254, JCP registration, and agency security questionnaires.
• Build and maintain control-to-evidence mapping for audit readiness.
• Oversee personnel security operations, including US-person verification and access controls.
• Lead FCL readiness and manage the path toward holding the FSO designation.

Requirements

• Must be a US person eligible for a Tier 3 background investigation.
• Must be based in or able to commute to New York, NY or Washington, D.C.
• Direct experience submitting in federal portals like SPRS and PIEE.
• Hands-on experience with NIST 800-53 Rev 5 and FedRAMP 20x framework.
• Ability to read and interpret FAR and DFARS flowdowns in federal contracts.
• Proven experience running RMF packages or NIST 800-171 assessments end-to-end.

Nice to have

• Active or recently held security clearance.
• Direct experience writing OSCAL or using GRC tools like eMASS or Xacta.
• Military background in security, intelligence, or cyber operations.
• Experience in a GovTech or SaaS company pursuing FedRAMP/CMMC.
