National Security Analyst (Supply Chain Intelligence)

Location: Washington, D.C.; hybrid office schedule

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year plus equity

hirify.global is a Series A startup building an intelligence platform for global supply chains and China-related risk, revealing networks, relationships, and financial ties behind companies.

What you will do

• Report and write weekly stories and explanatory pieces of 500–1,000 words on defense, national security, export controls, cybersecurity, rare earths, quantum, AI, and semiconductors.
• Produce public-facing journalism, concise briefings, and data-driven reports for national security and commercial audiences.
• Develop investigative stories supported by hirify.global platform data.
• Write two or more 2,000–3,000-word deep-dive features each year.
• Work with the go-to-market team, attend customer briefings, and present reports to federal and commercial customers.
• Represent hirify.global at company and industry events, conferences, television programs, and podcasts, while collaborating with external journalists.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a journalist, writer, or analyst.
• Investigative experience is required, including researching corporate records, supply chains, and difficult-to-source stories.
• Published news pieces or research reports to submit with the application.
• Ability to write both compelling public journalism and precise, data-forward analysis for expert audiences.
• Significant experience and knowledge in business, China, national or economic security, or strategically important related topics.
• Fluent English writing and communication skills.
