Compiler Engineer - Machine Learning Compiler (AI)

What you will do

• Develop the full compiler stack, including operator lowering, graph and IR transformations, optimization passes, and backend code generation.
• Optimize compilation for dataflow architectures through pipelined scheduling, memory orchestration, and resource-constrained execution strategies.
• Collaborate with hardware architects and ML researchers on compiler–hardware co-design, including the instruction set and execution model.
• Build compilation strategies that unify analog compute with digital subsystems and support heterogeneous hardware.
• Maintain a compiler that produces high-performance binaries with debugging support, clear error messages, and predictable performance models.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building compilers or high-performance systems software, particularly involving resource management or optimization.
• Expertise in modern C++ (C++14/17/20) and strong Python skills.
• Experience with SSA-based or graph-based compiler IRs, transformations, and code generation.
• Exposure to specialized accelerators such as GPUs, NPUs, FPGAs, or custom ASICs, or to parallel architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML compiler stacks such as ONNX, MLIR, TVM, XLA, IREE, or PyTorch, with MLIR or LLVM contributions being a plus.
• Experience with LP/MIP, CP, SAT/SMT optimization methods and solvers such as Gurobi or OR-Tools.
• Experience compiling DNN workloads for specialized accelerators and familiarity with heterogeneous or analog/in-memory computing.
• Experience with compiler–hardware co-design involving architecture and ISA decisions.
