Senior Systems Software Engineer (AI Hardware)

What you will do

• Develop firmware and services for rack management, BMC, and board/device controllers across RTOS and bare metal environments.
• Build systems software from hardware bring-up through production deployment.
• Implement power-on, provisioning, monitoring, telemetry, update, recovery, and security flows for reliable device fleets.
• Integrate management software with host and device stacks, including drivers and runtime libraries.
• Collaborate with hardware and device software teams to define interfaces, validate behavior, and debug boundary issues.

Requirements

• Production experience with reliable embedded systems across at least two of bare metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux, or deep expertise in one with the ability to learn the others.
• Strong C and/or Rust skills, with sound judgment around safety, testing, debugging, and failure modes.
• Experience designing for observability, diagnosability, predictable recovery, and testability.
• Experience close to the hardware/software boundary, including bootloaders, BSP, or kernel-adjacent work.
• Ability to collaborate with hardware, driver, and runtime teams and take ownership of complex problems.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, plus 3+ years of industry experience.

Nice to have

• Embedded platform or systems firmware experience, including board management, BMC-style stacks, or rack controllers.
• OpenBMC, embedded Linux image customization, or Zephyr experience.
• Practical experience with secure boot, signed updates, device identity, and fail-safe recovery.
• Kernel device work, hardware bring-up, lab tools, RISC-V, GPUs, or ML accelerators.
