Staff Accountant (Settlement Accounting)

Location: Quezon City, Philippines. Required shift: 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM Philippine Time

What you will do

• Maintain accurate settlement financial records, prepare journal entries, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including cutoffs, variance analysis, and discrepancy resolution.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to apply accounting policies and maintain alignment across settlement processes.
• Identify inefficiencies, support system enhancements, and contribute to accounting automation and standardization.
• Support internal and external audits while maintaining internal controls and data security requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Accountancy.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in reconciliation, audit, or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data, investigate discrepancies, and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication, organization, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
• Willingness to work from 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM Philippine Time.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Oracle Financials or a similar ERP system.
• Experience in credit card processing, banking, financial services, payment settlements, invoicing, collections, accounts payable, or cash reconciliation.
• Big Four or public accounting audit experience.
