AI Permitting Advisor (AI)

Location: Remote; work focused on permitting in the United States, particularly Florida, Texas, or California

What you will do

• Explain how permit packages are prepared and submitted, including common issues that cause delays or rejection.
• Run a real permit package through the product alongside the normal process.
• Review AI output on real permit submissions and flag errors, gaps, or misapplied code.
• Provide knowledge of review practices across jurisdictions and permit types.
• Assess sample submissions and explain which would be approved, returned with comments, or rejected.
• Work directly with product and go-to-market teams to improve the permitting product.

Requirements

• Direct experience personally submitting permits, preparing packages, responding to comments, and tracking submissions through approval.
• Experience as a plans examiner, permit engineer, architect of record, homebuilder, or similar practitioner.
• Deep knowledge of permitting, codes, local amendments, departments, and unwritten rules in Florida, Texas, or California.
• Enough experience with a jurisdiction to identify what is reliably approved, returned with comments, or rejected.
• Willingness to share opinions and examples from passed and failed applications.
• No technical background is required.
