Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

Salary: $106,500–$146,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

  • Define and scale post-processing operations such as machining, blasting, deburring, cleaning, and heat treating for new medical products.
  • Lead implementation, machine setup, process validation, and technical coordination with in-house technicians and external suppliers.
  • Define requirements for tooling, fixturing, automation, and post-processing equipment, and lead solution testing and validation.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, SOPs, validation plans, and other process documentation.
  • Lead Installation Qualifications and support Operational and Performance Qualifications with Quality Control and Quality Engineering.
  • Support NPI, design-for-manufacturability decisions, capacity planning, cost and time estimates, safety assessments, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience focused on post-processing methods such as machining, blasting, or fixturing.
  • Hands-on experience developing and scaling production processes.
  • Proficiency with PFMEA, DOE, IQ/OQ/PQ, and other process qualification methods.
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers, technicians, engineering, quality, and production teams.
  • Knowledge of process documentation, Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

  • Experience with metal additive manufacturing and transitioning printed parts into finished products.
  • Familiarity with post-processing techniques, GD&T, and tooling design.
  • Experience in regulated or quality-controlled environments such as medical devices or aerospace.
  • Exposure to ERP/MES systems, manufacturing data tools, and safety or ergonomic assessments.
