Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Document & Vision Intelligence)

Annual salary: $130,000–$260,000

What you will do

• Design, build, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models, services, APIs, and components for business use cases.
• Develop scalable data processing workflows and infrastructure for automated model training, hyperparameter tuning, and deployment.
• Integrate machine learning solutions into production systems with product, data engineering, and software development teams.
• Monitor model performance, investigate issues, track metrics, and implement continuous improvements.
• Apply generative AI, LLMs, agentic workflows, and modern AI engineering tools to accelerate experimentation and delivery.
• Lead complex ML initiatives, provide technical direction, and mentor junior engineers and data scientists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, machine learning, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field; a master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 6+ years of experience applying machine learning techniques, including deep learning, NLP, generative AI, ensemble learning, or reinforcement learning.
• 6+ years of experience with Python, SQL, Spark or equivalent distributed processing tools, and frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• 4+ years of experience with cloud platforms or environments such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake, plus Kubernetes.
• Experience building production ML systems, MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, model monitoring, versioning, A/B testing, and continuous deployment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving, and product and business judgment in ambiguous environments.
