Information Security Specialist (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Execute the corporate IT security strategy, roadmap, governance structure, and security programs.
• Partner with risk, compliance, legal, privacy, clinical, technical, commercial, and business stakeholders to assess information risks and regulatory requirements.
• Lead vendor security assessments, including pre-onboarding due diligence and ongoing monitoring of vendors and subprocessors.
• Lead end-to-end SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 audit cycles, including gap assessments, evidence collection in GRC tooling, and external auditor coordination.
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, infrastructure, integrations, networks, and cloud environments.
• Oversee incident response planning, participate in investigations and root cause analysis, and communicate security and compliance risks to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or comparable knowledge.
• 10+ years of relevant technical experience, including 5+ years in information security.
• Practical knowledge of access and authentication, network and application security, transmission security, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with security frameworks and assessments, ideally SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Cloud security experience in public and private environments; AWS is essential and Azure is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, web servers, databases, network security, SIEM, Salesforce integrations, containers or Kubernetes, and automation tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in a highly regulated environment, electronic record systems, or healthcare.
• CISM, CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or another relevant information security certification.
• Experience with Azure cloud security.
