Senior ML Research Scientist (Video AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Seoul, South Korea, with work at the Itaewon office and Pangyo satellite office

What you will do

• Lead research on multimodal representations connecting temporal and spatial structure with semantic understanding.
• Develop models operating across full videos, clips, regions, and individual entities.
• Design training objectives, datasets, evaluation methods, and rigorous large-scale experiments.
• Use detection, segmentation, and tracking models as supervision or components for general-purpose representations.
• Partner with research and engineering teams to scale and ship new capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong research track record in computer vision, video understanding, multimodal learning, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in video foundation models, self-supervised or contrastive learning, embeddings and retrieval, temporal modeling, object-centric learning, detection, segmentation, or tracking.
• Strong hands-on skills in Python and PyTorch or an equivalent deep learning framework.
• Experience designing and running rigorous experiments at scale.
• Research impact through publications, production systems, or both.
• Ability to own ambiguous problems and collaborate across research and engineering; an MS with deep industry experience is typically a strong fit.

Nice to have

• Experience with open-vocabulary vision or dense and region-level representations.
• Experience with large-scale video training, data curation, or evaluation infrastructure.
• Experience translating research into production.
• Experience leading research projects or mentoring researchers.
