Staff DevOps Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Seoul, South Korea — onsite required. Physical access to lab and datacenter hardware is required. Occasional travel to Sunnyvale and Dublin is expected, approximately 1–2 trips per year.

What you will do

• Own the Korea site's bare-metal Jenkins controller, physical build agents, capacity planning, server health, and reliability.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with physical test hardware, including ECUs and evaluation boards, and support provisioning and health monitoring.
• Operate Pure Storage, NFS, artifact caching, build workspaces, and multi-site replication across Korea, Sunnyvale, and Dublin.
• Lead the migration from manually configured infrastructure to Terraform- and Ansible-managed systems without disrupting active builds.
• Maintain Jenkins shared libraries and Groovy-based release workflows while supporting global CI/CD standardization.
• Deploy monitoring and dashboards for build servers, storage, networks, and lab hardware, and coordinate datacenter capacity, rack layouts, power, and cooling.

Requirements

• 8+ years of infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE experience, including significant hands-on management of on-premises and bare-metal infrastructure.
• Production Linux administration experience, including networking, storage, process management, systemd, SSH troubleshooting, and log analysis.
• Experience with physical servers, rack management, enterprise storage arrays, NFS or SAN, datacenter operations, power, cooling, and capacity planning.
• Experience operating Jenkins at scale or an equivalent enterprise CI/CD platform, including distributed agents, shared libraries, and credential management.
• Practical Terraform and Ansible experience, including migrating manually configured environments to infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of VLANs, DNS, VPN and site-to-site connectivity, plus proficiency in Python, Bash, Groovy, enterprise storage administration, and replication strategies.

Nice to have

• Embedded systems build toolchains such as Bazel, Yocto, or CMake cross-compilation.
• VMware vSphere or KVM experience.
• Hardware-in-the-loop or automotive test infrastructure experience.
• Coverity, BlackDuck, or similar SAST/SCA integration experience.
• Kubernetes experience in hybrid on-premises and cloud environments, or Korean language proficiency.
