Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Remote - Canada

Salary: CA$128K–CA$158K annual base salary; equity offered.

What you will do

• Build and maintain back-end services in Python, Node.js, or Go on Kubernetes.
• Contribute to GenAI workflows and data pipelines supporting AI/ML systems.
• Build and consume secure, scalable REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on design decisions and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of back-end software engineering experience.
• Python required; familiarity with TypeScript and/or Java.
• Experience building microservices on Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Working knowledge of ML/AI concepts and workflows.
• Understanding of back-end security fundamentals, including API security and authentication and authorization basics.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, Kafka, or Spark.
• Exposure to LLM or agentic AI tooling.
• Cybersecurity, IoT, or NLP domain experience.
