TL;DR
AI/ML Ops Engineer (AI/ML): Building and operating production-grade machine learning infrastructure and live inference endpoints with an accent on model deployment, containerized pipelines, and observability. Focus on automating training, validation, monitoring, and deployment workflows, implementing ML governance, and ensuring highly available systems across the AI/ML lifecycle.
Location: Remote - Canada
Annual base salary: CA$131,000–CA$164,250, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do
- Own the AI/ML lifecycle from model training and deployment through monitoring and retirement.
- Design, build, and administer cloud-based model-building and serving infrastructure on AWS.
- Develop containerized training, feature engineering, and inference pipelines using Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Automate model validation, integration, load, and deployment testing across the ML pipeline.
- Build production-grade visibility, alerting, high availability, and ML governance utilities.
- Collaborate with Engineering, the Security Operations Center, and the Adversary Pursuit Group.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on ML Engineering experience, including training and deploying models in production.
- Experience with AWS ML infrastructure, SageMaker, Bedrock, MLFlow, and SageMaker Pipelines.
- Experience with Kafka, Spark, Python, Bash, SQL, and SparkSQL.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS, and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience implementing data, feature, and model versioning, monitoring, testing, and governance.
- Must be based in Canada for this remote role.
Nice to have
- Experience with transformer neural networks.
- Experience with Anthropic, OpenAI, or LiteLLM APIs and SDKs.
- Experience in cybersecurity, IoT, or NLP.
- Experience with Grafana or CloudWatch.
- Agile Scrum or Kanban experience.
